Their persistence paid off in the 32nd minute, when Jamie Vardy scored a well-taken goal, latching onto a through ball from Iheanacho and slotting the ball past Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson. It was a well-deserved goal for the Foxes, who had been pressing hard in the minutes leading up to the goal.

The remainder of the first half was closely contested, with both teams creating chances but unable to convert them into goals. The score remained tied at 1-1 heading into halftime, with the game finely balanced.

The second half began with both teams showing a renewed sense of purpose, and the pace of the game continued to be fast and furious. Manchester City continued to dominate possession, with De Bruyne pulling the strings in midfield, but Leicester City looked dangerous on the counter-attack, with Vardy and Iheanacho always a threat.

In the 68th minute, Manchester City made a double substitution, bringing on Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus for Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez. The move paid off almost immediately, as Jesus scored a goal in the 70th minute, latching onto a cross from Foden and heading the ball past Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Leicester City, however, refused to give up, and they continued to push forward, searching for an equalizer. Their persistence paid off in the 81st minute when Kelechi Iheanacho scored a stunning goal, curling the ball into the top corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area. It was a goal worthy of winning any match, and it set up a tense finale to the game.
